The Role that Color Plays in your Celebration

*** When planning any celebration, it is often a favorite color or colors that drives the theme for the event. But how do you choose a color theme and what role does it truly play in your event?
Color itself can be very powerful, as colors and combinations of colors can remind us of many wonderful times in our lives. For your celebration, try to pick a color or two that will help your guests remember you! Try going to a paint store and getting paint chips to play with. By using this trick, you will probably come up with a new color combination that you never would have even thought of!
Once you have chosen your colors, you want to stream them throughout all aspects of your event. Use them in your centerpieces, favors, table linens, etc. For example, if you were planning a 50th wedding anniversary, a great color to choose would be gold, as the traditional gift for 50 years of marriage is gold. Gold itself is a great accent color, so try to choose another color that goes with it and will be easy to plan around, such as ivory. Then, choose flowers, decorations and favors that match this beautiful color theme, but don't be afraid to add color. Try using some peach and green with the gold "“ these would be gorgeous!
